Charlotte
I am a registered Osteopath working in Selsdon, South Croydon after completing a 4 year Masters Degree from the British School of Osteopathy, London.
Since graduating, I have taken part in courses including Cranial Osteopathy, sports massage, kinesiology taping and dry needling.
My treatment is tailored to the individual to bring balance and function to the whole body.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a type of manual therapy which involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions.
Osteopathy is regulated by the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
Osteopaths use a combination of movement, stretching, targeted deep tissue massage and manipulation of a person’s muscles and joints to improve function, relieve pain and aid recovery.
What I do
I take the time to understand the patient and their specific combination of symptoms, medical history and lifestyle.
This helps me to make an accurate diagnosis of the cause of the pain or lack of function and formulate a treatment plan that will achieve the best outcome.
Patients seek treatment for a wide variety of conditions such as:
- neck and back pain
- changes to posture during pregnancy
- postural complaints caused by driving or work strain
- the pain of arthritis
- sports injuries
- and many more.
Osteopaths are primary healthcare professionals. Therefore, we are able to treat patients without a referral from a GP.
