LOCKDOWN 2.0

05/11/20 – Lockdown 2.0

Osteopaths are key healthcare workers and will remain OPEN for treatments throughout the second lockdown.

Your appointment is classed as a medical appointment and can therefore go ahead.

Our strict COVID protocols and wearing of full PPE continue to remain in place.

Osteopaths are classed as essential workers

It is another unsettling time for us all but REMEMBER: –

  1. You got through the first one. You can get through this one!
  2. Learn from the past one. Do not put pressure on yourself to be productive all the time.
  3. With the winter mornings and darker evenings, there is no doubt this one will be tougher. Please remember to keep talking to loved ones.
  4. You are strong enough to get through this. Even if it does not feel like it right now.
  5. This will not last forever. Even though it feels like it right now.

TIPS TO HELP THROUGH LOCKDOWN

  1. Find a small daily routine that works for you
  2. Get outside into nature every day, even if its just from your garden
  3. Move your body each day, even if its just for 5 minutes
  4. Call a friend or relative every day
  5. Have 10 minutes to yourself every day, take the time to sit with your thoughts, put your mobile down and turn off any distractions
  6. If you must watch the news, only watch once per day
  7. Write down 3 things you are grateful for each day
  8. Do not beat yourself up if you feel down, IT IS OK NOT TO FEEL OK
  9. If you are working from work, try and keep a work/home boundary between the two
  10. Remember, this too shall pass

And finally: –

  1. You do not have to ‘make the most’ of the day. If you feel like staying home or in bed, THAT IS OK!
  2. What ever you feel today is valid. Stop undermining your feelings by saying others have it worse.
  3. It is totally normal to feel anxious, sad, or worried no matter your circumstance.
  4. Be kind to yourself today. Even though we have been here once before it does not make it easier.
  5. If you own a business or want to start a new project over the next few weeks, you do not have to figure everything out today.

Look after yourself first, stay safe and remember we are all in this together.

I am still here for you
